Most Venezianico models use proven movements from manufacturers such as Miyota and Sellita. A few years ago, however, the brand decided to take a step further and presented its own project – the V5000 calibre.

Where the Venezianico V5000 Calibre Came From
The V5000 calibre was created as a special project intended to demonstrate the brand’s technical capabilities and its ambitions in the higher end of watchmaking.
The movement was developed by Fausto Berizzi, a watchmaker and movement designer known for his work with companies such as Lemania and Vaucher Manufacture. This gave the project a solid technical foundation from the outset.
Although Venezianico is an Italian brand, the components are manufactured and the movement is assembled in Switzerland – a standard practice in watchmaking for projects of this kind.

The V5000 calibre is a manual-winding movement.

It is therefore not a manufacture movement in the same sense as those made by the largest watchmaking brands, but it is certainly an original movement design, which remains rare in the world of microbrands.

The V5000 movement appeared in the limited-edition Venezianico Redentore Utopia.
It was a project that demonstrated the direction in which the brand could develop in the future – both technically and aesthetically.

Although most Venezianico watches still use proven Miyota or Sellita movements, the V5000 project showed that the brand has ambitions to aim higher and experiment with its own solutions.
